With our vouchers selling well, I thought I would share with you a recent family lifestyle shoot for Rachel and her family. Rachel got in touch after her Mum bought her some of our gift vouchers for her birthday. They were a great family to work with at one of my favourite locations in Colchester. It was a particularly special shoot as it involved three generations who had made a special visit to Colchester to get together for the shoot.
It was lovely to meet up with all the girls and what a great gift for Mum’s birthday.

As many of you will know we launched our ‘Lifestyle Mini’ shoots earlier this year.
We are pleased to say that we have had a great response to these photo shoots and have been extremely happy with the positive feedback received from our clients. What has been interesting is that customers are booking these shoots throughout the year, not just when the weather is warm. There has also been a mixture of families choosing to have the shoots in their own home/garden or out on location in and around Colchester and Essex.

As we head towards Christmas we have a number of ‘Lifestyle Minis’ still to photograph and we thought we would take this opportunity to put together
a small selection of our lifestyle images that showcase the variety this type of photography can offer to your final collection of images, whether you choose to have your shoot in winter, spring, summer or autumn.

Finally with regards to booking a family photo shoot, either lifestyle or studio, we now only have mid week availability from the middle of November leading up to Christmas but feel free to enquire for 2012 or perhaps consider purchasing some of our vouchers as a gift for a loved one.

I was commissioned by this lovely family recently for a lifestyle shoot at their home.
Their oldest daughter was flying out to America the very next day to start a new life with her fiancee and they wanted to capture them altogether before this big change in their lives. We had a lot of fun throughout the shoot and the family are delighted with the final collection of images.

The Only Way is Essex!

It was all things Essex last week. I was commissioned by Lifehouse, the fantastic residential spa in Essex to photograph Maria Fowler from the hit series ‘The Only Way is Essex’ and her lovely mum Trudy.

Back in January we ran a model search to find a family to feature in promotional literature for our new portrait package ‘Lifestyle Minis’. We chose our winners and they certainly proved to be fantastic models on the day and the kids had great fun. There is a growing trend towards more outdoor/lifestyle photography and I for one have been a fan of using natural light and the great outdoors for some years, it can produce amazing results. Your final collection of images will be full of variety in terms of different locations/backgrounds as well as the added bonus of feeling comfortable in your own surroundings.

So what are ‘Lifestyle Minis’? They are photo shoots for one location only i.e. in and around your home/garden or perhaps a local park and they are here for a limited period only, so get in quick! This package is available until the end of September 2011 with any shoots needing to be booked in and photographed by that date. The images featured on this blog showcase both ‘at home’ and ‘on location’ to give you an idea on the style of images you would receive. Music promo shoot in Colchester Essex

I was commissioned recently by a couple of musicians to provide them with a collection of images for marketing/promotion purposes. It was an absolute pleasure to spend a couple of hours with Nathan and Alec and I wish them all the best for the future. Childrens photography in Chelmsford Essex

I made a second visit to photograph these two children recently and the old cliche is true, it’s amazing how quickly they grow up! The shoot took place at home in the childrens’ natural environment.
